The sides of the monument are inscribed with commemorations for the First and Second World Wars. Two sides of the base list various theatres of war in both conflicts. The memorial is surrounded by a low chain fence. Inscription Pillar - front [Names] In commemoration of our immortal dead who gave their lives in defence of the British Empire in the Great War 1914-1919.
