Charles was born on 30/9/1898, son of James & Johanna Hope. He was 13 days short of being 18 when he enlisted. Charles enlisted 17/9/1916 in Bathurst under the alias William Dwyer 21 years of age. KIA in Belgium aged 19 years. Served on the Western Front.
