What we can and cannot help with
WE CAN HELP YOU WITH
- Questions about contributing content to the Register (Also see: How can I contribute?)
- Questions about setting up a free online account (Also see: Frequently Asked Questions)
- Questions about the Community War Memorials Fund grant program (Also see: The NSW Office for Veterans Affairs Community War Memorials Fund page)
WE CANNOT HELP YOU WITH
- Booking functions at war memorial venues. The Register is a database and does not own, maintain, or hold any responsibility for the operations of any of the war memorial venues listed on the Register, such as halls or buildings. For enquiries such as function bookings, opening hours, exhibitions, or visitor access, please contact the owner or manager of the relevant venue directly. Owners or managers of war memorials are often local councils, RSL sub-Branches, committees, or property owners. We do not hold a list of contact details of owners and managers.
- Researching family members or individual veterans. A list of resources to assist you to conduct research is available on our Researching war memorials and veterans page.
Commemoration in NSW
War memorials hold unique significance to their communities. There are more than 3,000 war memorials in NSW. Together they represent a significant heritage resource of national importance, linking millions of Australians together through tradition and remembrance.
To find out more about commemoration in NSW or commemorative services at your local memorial, visit the NSW Office for Veterans Affairs Commemoration page or contact OVA directly via the NSW Office for Veterans Affairs contact page.
