The memorial is a white marble pillar on a white concrete plinth, on a three-stepped base. The pillar is ornately decorated with carved marble sculptures, including a cross and crossed sword and rifle enclosed by a wreath on the top of the north face. The pillar is surmounted by a marble eternal flame. Originally established with an honour roll and dedication for the First World War, names for the Second World War and Korea have been added at a later date.
The memorial is bordered on four sides by wooden posts and chain fence. There is a metal flagpole on the east side.
