Notes on veterans' names:

    • F L Corcoran may be Francis Leslie Corcoran who DOD while a prisoner of war (POW).
    • W A Richter may be Walter Alfred Richter who DOD while a POW.
    • D A Wilson may be Douglas Anthony Wilson who DOD and was a POW.
  • No records can be found for POWs with the names R Burke and J Morrisey. As the memorial indicates they were POWs this is the status they have been given, as they may have been located in Europe.
  • All other status codes have been taken from information contained in the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour, the list of Australian Military Forces Prisoners of War and Missing in the Far East and South West Pacific Islands, and the World War 2 Nominal Roll.
  • The memorial gives every deceased veteran on the Second Snowy River March the status of KIA.
