Some of the letters have been damaged and are missing. The pillar sits on a grey sandstone stepped base. The sandstone is badly weathered in places. On top of the pillar is an orb representing the world with the outline of Australia showing. On the sandstone base is the weathered sculpture of two crossed rifles. Between the words 'Killingworth Soldiers' Honour Roll' are engravings of the Australian Citizens Military Force (ACMF) badge. The memorial is located in a small park. Inscription Top: Killingworth Soldiers' Honour Roll Front face - top: In Memoriam [Names] Front face - lower: Erected by the citizens of Killingworth in honour of the men from the district who fought for God, King and Country in the Great War 1914 - 1919.
