It is located in a section of the Lord Howe Island Museum dedicated to the RSL. Surrounding the memorial are the Australian Navy Ensign, a photograph of six returned soldiers from the First World War, the RSL charter and a framed, printed address from the Bishop of Amiens in memory of the Australian soldiers who died at the Somme.
