New Lambton Literary Institute First World War Roll of Honour Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background A white marble plaque with the engraving in black. At the top between the words 'For King and Country' and 'Roll of Honour' are two crossed flags, the Union Jack and the Australian flag. The names of the members of the Literary Institute who served in the First World War are engraved in the centre of the plaque. On the left side of the names is a stylised image on a emu and on the right is a kangaroo. Below the names is the date '1914 -'. This plaque is unfinished as it does not have an ending date engraved for the war. The memorial is located on the lower level of the New Lambton Library.
