Description / Background

A polished wooden display board and cabinet with a carved replica of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces badge at the top. The cabinet is draped with the Australian flag and the Union Jack.

On the left and right panels of the cabinet are depictions of two war scenes and carved into the wood below are lists of First World War campaigns and battles. The centre cabinet contains a book of veterans' names displayed behind glass.

Note on veteran names: Currently only those veterans' whose names are displayed on the two open pages can be transcribed. Marrickville Library is researching if a full listing is available.
