The memorial is a cream-brick pillar, approximately 1.5m high by 0.8m wide. The pillar stands on a concrete base, surrounded by a chain fence, which is supported by steel posts. The memorial features a semi-circular plaque bearing the words 'Lest we forget' and two rectangular plaques with dedication details.
Two bronze honour rolls are also attached to the sides of the pillar, commemorating more than 140 veterans from the First and Second World Wars, Korea, and Vietnam. The roll for the First World War contains 69 veterans,11 of whom are marked as Killed in Action (KIA). The other roll contains 76 veterans from the Second World War, and one each for Korea and Vietnam.
The memorial was unveiled by State Councillor E.N. Graham O.A.M. BEM on 30 October 1999.
