A large three panel polished wooden board, with names written in white behind glass panes. Above the names is a painted decoration including a small laurel wreath inside of which is a crown above crossed Union Jack and the Australian Red Ensign. The memorial is located near platform 23. Additional information by Sydney Trains: A very large polished wooden Roll of Honour board, with 187 Eveleigh Carriageworks railways employees names who served in the First World War written in white, and 161 Carriageworks railways employees names who served in the Second World War written in white, and encased behind three glass panes. It was decorated with a laurel wreath and crown, and crossed Union Jack and Australian Red Ensign flags above. It was produced by Carriageworks staff and unveiled by Commissioner for Railways Tom Hartigan at Eveleigh on 22 April 1943, and listed R. Thompson as custodian from 1944-1948. It was relocated after the closure of Eveleigh Carriageworks in 1989, and fixed to the eastern Railway Remembrance Wall at Central Station.
