Description / Background

This war memorial lychgate contains eight marble panels, four on each side, mounted under the gables inside the gate. The inscription reads left to right across each set of four. The names of those who served in the First World War are engraved on the panels and highlighted in black.

There is also an engraved sandstone block on the right-hand side at the entrance of the gate.
