The main memorial consists of three large rough hewn silver grey Moruya granite blocks, grouped together. The blocks symbolise the many mountain campaigns undertaken by the Army and Air Force and the mountainous seas encountered by the Navy. The memorial commemmorates the service of personnel in all campaigns. In front of the memorial is a sandstone forecourt, which is a reminder of the engagements in the desert. The evergreens in the gardens symbolise jungle campaigns. The memorial is flanked on either side by walls of remembrance. It was rebuilt in 1994 and rededicated on 11 November 1994. Additional memorials have been added to the park at various times to commemmorate separate confrontations and various organisations, including multiple bushrock memorials, plinths and an anchor.
