Description / Background

Monument built of local pug stone, in the shape of a flat-topped pyramid on a rectangular platform. A First World War Lewis Machine Gun is mounted on top, and two plaques are attached to the front. The gun was obtained from the Australian War Memorial via the Broken Hill RSL. The memorial is surrounded by shrubs and a chain fence, with a flagstaff nearby on the western side. 

The memorial is located adjacent to the White Cliffs Community Hall and in front of a playground.
