Description / Background

A marble honour roll constructed by local stonemasonry firm Meldrum and Markey. At the top is a crest comprising of an Australian Military Forces badge with supporting Kangaroo and Emu. The years '1914' and '1919' are centred within laurel wreaths. Two vertical turned marble columns adorn the left and right sides, enhancing the design. Two explanatory plaques accompany the memorial (pictured).

After the Newcastle Earthquake in 1989, the Wickham School was closed. The Honour Roll was transferred to Newcastle Regional Museum until it closed. At at January 2018, it is on display at the Newcastle Interchange.

Erected by the Parents and Citizens Association in Honour of the Old Boys of the School who fought in The Great War.
