Description / Background

Large brick hall with clock tower and the words, 'Memorial Town Hall' above the entrance. The foundation stone of the hall was laid on 29 September 1922 and the hall was officially opened on 2 April 1924. Originally dedicated to those who served in the First World War, the hall now holds a number of plaques and honour rolls for the First and Second World Wars, Korea, Vietnam and other conflicts.
