Flanders House Second World War Honour Rolls, Inverell Middle Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The Flanders House Second World War Honour Rolls consist of four matching polished timber panels. They are all simple rectangular boards, with a contrasting timber edge. The names of 58 veterans from the Inverell district are painted in gold across the four panels. They are not in alphabetical order or grouped in any way. Each panel includes the same heading: 'Lest we forget' and the years of the war. The second panel bears a paper label, which says the rolls used to be located in 'Flanders House' in Inverell. Now known as Flanders Function Centre, the venue was part of the Inverell Returned Servicemen's Memorial Club complex in Evans Street. It opened in 1957 and served as a recreation centre. The rolls are now housed in the Inverell Pioneer Village RSL Museum, where they are displayed in two pairs. Access to view them is restricted to the opening hours of the museum and village.
