Rozelle Tramsheds First World War Memorial

The Rozelle Tramshed First World War Memorial is a white marble First World War soldier with hat standing easy and holding onto a rifle with bayonet fixed. There are names pressed into copper sheets recording 34 former tram workers who died in the First World War. The statue was unveilled atop a white concrete plinth within a garden setting at the front of the Tramsheds. The memorial was the focal point of the award winning gardens when originally located at the Rozelle Tramsheds complex.

For a period of time, the memorial was located at the Leichhardt Bus Depot. During this time the statue was displayed on a brick plinth. In November 2018, the memorial was moved back to its original location. It is located at the northwest corner of Harold Park, immediately south of the Tramsheds building.
