Annandale Mayor F. E. W. Smith's sons Harold Edward Benjamin and his brother Roy Alfred Walter were wounded on 8 Oct 1917. Harold died that day, and Roy succumbed to his wounds seven days later (Amanda & Darryn Capes-Davis 29/12/2012).
