Description / Background

Clock set within a brickwork column, accompanied by brick gate posts faced with memorial plaques for conflicts in which Australia has been involved. A metal arch joins the two posts. 

The clock was originally installed at the Council Chambers and unveiled on 26 January 1918. It was dedicated to Lieut-Colonel Harold McIntosh who fell in the First World War.

The clock on these chambers was erected in memory of the Late Lieut-Colonel Harold McIntosh a well beloved citizen of the Rockley District, and President of the Abercrombie Shire Council from 1906 to 1915
