The death occurred suddenly yes- terday at the Canberra Hospital of the Rev. R. B. Dransfield, assistant to Archdeacon Robertson, at St. John's Church for the past six
months.

The late Mr. Dransfield, who was taken ill late on Sunday night, was formerly rector at Bungendore. He was one of the first to enlist for chaplain duty from the Diocese of Goulburn during the war. He served in the Middle East and was at Tobruk. On his discharge from the army he was attached to the Department of Post-War Reconstruction for a period of 12 months, after which he be- came associated with St. John's Church.

He leaves a widow and six children.
