1. Listed Bungendore War Memorial Hall WW1 ROH (1917) and Bygone Queanbeyan as "50th Battalion." Reference to 50Bn is deemed incorrect as Attestation Papers record assignment to 56 Bn.

6. Queanbeyan Age often refers to a "Jas" Heath who might be James.                    
7.See  AWM Photograph P09678.001:Group portrait of Bungendore servicemen in the 55th and 56th Battalions noted below at Cyril Smith 2485 and comments by PJH 03.04.15.
8. Queanbeyan Age 28 January 1916 reported on the arrival of the Men from Snowy River Recruitment March in Bungendore on the 24th.The  report stated that a number of local men gave their names as potential recruits but did not join the March at that time.James Heath susequently enlisted on 5.02.1916 at Goulburn.
