2. “MAPPING ANZACS”: Service Number: 1629; POB: Bungendore; POE: Holdsworthy, NSW; NOK: Father: William Lee, Melbourne (Malbon?) St, Bungendore.

3. AWM Embarkation Roll: Rank: Private; Unit: 6 LHR [Light Horse Regiment] - 11 to 14 Reinforcements (November 1915 - February 1916); Age: 23 1/12; Occupation: Labourer; DOE: 13.08.1915; Embarked: 18.11.1915.Sydney.HMAT Persic. A.34.

4. AWM Nominal Roll: Not recorded. NAA file indicates RTA "Boonah" 12.06.1919 and Discharged 3.8.1919.

5. Stephenson: Notes that Sidney William (son of William and Margaret Lee) saw service in the 1914-1918 conflict with an artillery regiment. No mention of WW2 service. Died 3.11.1964 at Bungendore aged 72.

6. Monaro Pioneers: Indicates #1629 served with the 3rd Field Artillery Brigade.  

7. Sidney William Lee 1629) .and Wallace Douglas Lee (1630A) were siblings

8. Lee family history records that Sidney William Lee served in the Civil Constructions Corps in Darwin October 1942 - April 19441 .See Bungendore WW2 ROH.
