4. AWM Nominal Roll: Rank:Private ;Unit:56 Battalion ;DOE: 2.3.1916 ;RTA: 5.7.1919. 

5. Stephenson:Frank Saunderson died 17.11.1962 aged 69. Late of "Ashby"Bungendore where he lived all his life...a WW1 Veteran..."

6. Queanbeyan Age and Observer 11.08.1916 reported a farwell function at the Bungendore Public School for W.Smith, F.Saunderson, R.Smith and E.Sweeney,where each was presented with a money belt,"as a slight token of esteem from the public."

 7. Queanbeyan Age 28 January 1916 reported on the arrival of the Men from Snowy River Recruitment March in Bungendore on the 24th.The  report stated that a number of local men gave their names as potential recruits but did not join the March at that time.Frank Sanderson susequently enlisted 2.3.1916 at Goulburn.
