A welcome home was tendered to Ser geant Flynn and Privates Day and Trussell in the hall on Friday evening; there was a very fair attendance. ..... The President, Mr. F. S. Falconer, J.P. commenced proceedings by heartily welcoming the returned soldiers, two of whom ,Sergt. Flynn and Pte. Trussell,belonged to Captain's Flat, as they enrolled from there, abut as they had their names in scribed on the Bungendore Roll of Honor the local people were only too pleased to accord them the welcome they had so deservedly earned. He regretted he had not all the medals in readiness, as he did not get the necessary particulars in time; however, they would be along in a day or two,when they could be sent to them. The badges were there and could be attached to the soldiers later on......."
