Chullora and Eveleigh Boilershops, Honour Roll WWI and WWII, Railway Remembrance Wall, Central Station Middle Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background A wooden Honour Roll board, with 101 railways employees names who served in the First World War and the Second World War written in gilt in six columns. However, upon investigation it was found to be produced by Eveleigh Boilershop staff and contained 62 of its employees names who served in the First World War written in gilt in three columns. Note, all the names are also listed on the Eveleigh Boilershop Honour Roll and on the Locoworks Consolidated Honour Roll WWI. The Honour Roll also contained 39 Chullora Boilershop railways employees names who served in the Second World War written in gilt in another three columns, encased behind glass panes. Apparently the Eveleigh Boilershop was relocated to the new Chullora Boilershop in 1925 and took the Honour Roll with them, and had it remodelled after the Second World War as a Chullora Honour Roll. After Chullora's closure in 1996 it was relocated and fixed to the western Railway Remembrance Wall at Central Station, near platform 23.
