Description / Background

The Hedge of Remembrance runs across the front of the block of land by the side of the Trundle War Memorial School of Arts. The hedge was planted from cuttings originating from wild rosemary brought back from the hills of Gallipoli in 1915. Immediately behind the hedge is a large rough-hewn local rock with four plaques attached, and flanked by two memorial trees.

The hedge was established on 6 October 2010 and dedicated the following year on 11 November. The memorial trees were planted and dedicated on 11 November 1991.
