Description / Background

This roll of honour was created to commemorate those who served during the First World War. It originally belonged to the Methodist Church of which at the time there were about four congregations within the Crows Nest/North Sydney area, originally known as St Leonards.

Reverend F. Colwell is on this honour roll. During 1914-15, he was the minister of Walker Street Methodist Church. In 1915 he sailed on Themistocles as Captain Chaplain Colwell.

Crows Nest Uniting Church is NSW State Heritage Listed.
