Under the arch, a scroll bearing the names hangs from a sword in its scabbard. The unveiling and dedication of the Roll of Honour was undertaken by the Moderator of N.S.W. Right Reverend David Smith, M.A. of Kempsey on Sunday 13 April 1919. After the service, 'The photos of the local soldiers, which have been presented by the Bendemeer Choir were shown … The large frame containing these brave boys' photographs will be placed in the vestry'. [Armidale Express, 18 April; 1919, 'Bendemeer']. Today these photographs are located within the church alongside the Roll of Honour.
