He was batman to a Lieutenant McGhie, he was in a support trench but caught by a shell and killed outright. Initially reported Missing in Action - court of inquiry ruled KIA 1 May 1917. Body found & buried in 1934. He was 37, married with two children. Last known address: 1 The Avenue
