Son of the Reverend Howell Price, Minister of St Mary's Balmain East 1910-1915. Joined the Royal Naval Reserves in March 1915 (having previously served in the Merchant Navy). Won the DSC for an action in the North Sea in which is own vessel and the German raider SMS Greif were both sunk. Transferred to the Submarine Service and in April 1918 awarded the DSO for an action in which his submarine (loaded with explosives) was blown up at Zeebrugge. His commander won the VC. Transferred to the RAN after the war until 1921. Last known address: St Mary's Rectory, 2 Pearson Street
