Haberfield First World War Roll of Honour Middle Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This memorial is a large timber board made of polished Queensland maple. It is arranged in seven panelled sections, each framed by intricately carved columns. Across the top, is a single panel with the words ‘Haberfield Roll of Honour’. It lists 430 names, including four nursing sisters and 48 men who died. All lettering is in gold. It was repaired by International Conservation Services Pty Ltd, through a First World War Centenary federal government grant. The restored memorial was then unveiled by the mayor of Ashfield on 27 April 2015. After its relocation, the memorial remains inside the original 'School of Arts' part of the building, but is now on a different internal, south-facing wall.
