Born and next of kin lived Exeter NSW. Enlisted 09/03/1916. WIA Polygon Wood France 26/09/1917 on 4 times separate occasions and remained on duty with: 1) GSW to right hand, two fingers shot off; 2) GSW to tip of nose shot off; 3) GSW to right arm; and 4) GSW to leg, before he eventually went off duty. RTA 05/04/1918. Awarded DCM, the French Military Medal and the Italian Bronze Medal for Military Valour. Brother of Henry Hillier, service number 2416. Served in France.
