Pte Williamson was reported missing in Fromelles until it was certified on 4/4/1917 that he had been KIA. Red Cross witness statements state that Williamson had been taken prisoner by the Germans. In 2008, a burial ground was located at Pheasant Wood containing 250 British & Australian soldiers, they were all reburied at the Fromelles Military Cemetery. In 2014 Pte Williamson's body was idenitifed as one of these soldiers & a headstone was dedicated to Pte Williamson in July 2014. Served on the Western Front.
