Description / Background

The memorial is a curved wall situated in Remembrance Grove, Anzac Park. The memorial complements several other war memorials and commemorative silo art in the immediate vicinity. Atop the wall are 13 bronze plaques alphabetically featuring the names of over 2,000 men and women from Gunnedah and District who served their country in the Second World War. The Remembrance Wall was dedicated on 20 May 2007 and unveiled by Mr Roy Law OAM, former President of the Gunnedah RSL sub-Branch.

A flagpole stands in front of the wall, and in 1995 an additional dedication plaque was installed at the base of the flagpole to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
