The Kogarah War Memorial is a sandstone column, standing on a square sandstone base. Attached to the base are granite tablets with dedications to those who have served and died in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. Positioned above the tablets, at the base of the column, are military badges. The memorial is surrounded by paving and edged with garden beds, planted with rosemary.
This memorial cost 370 pounds and was unveiled on 11 November 1923 by Major General C H Brand (The Sydney Morning Herald, 12 November 1923). At the time, it was located in Gray Street, Kogarah. The memorial was moved at the request of the Kogarah RSL sub-Branch and is now located behind Jubilee Oval.
