At the entrance are a set of white-painted gates mounted on brick pillars established in 1956. The gates are of an open wrought iron construction. Attached to one pillar is a round metal dedication plaque. Inscription Thirlmere Memorial Park. A tribute to the men of the district who served in the two World Wars 1914-19 1939-45.
