Wounded in action, France, 26 July 1916 (gun shot wound, shoulder and right leg). Admitted to No. 1 Canadian General Hospital, 28 July 1916; transferred to England, 11 August 1916, and admitted to Guildford War Hospital, 12 August 1916. Transferred to No. 1 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 26 August 1916. Coomenced return to Australia on board HS 'Karoola', 16 October 1916; discharged, 29 June 1917. Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal Place of schooling not confirmed. Resting place of ashes currently unknown. |
