Description / Background

Memorial hostel opened around June 1952 in honour of those who served in the First and Second World Wars. The foundation stone is inset on the front wall and was laid on 25 April 1950. At the entrance to the building is a flagpole on a concrete plinth, bearing an 'eternal flame' badge.
