The Vaucluse War Memorial is a 12-metre high flagpole, braced on four corners by guy-wires, and flanked by two 75mm bore canons. The flagpole is painted white and is positioned on a raised platform, which is edged by sandstone blocks.
A plaque is attached to the block directly below the flagpole. It is inscribed with a dedication to those who served in the First World War and the details of the unveiling ceremony held on 26 October 1918.
Restoration of this plaque (and photographic records) was undertaken by International Conservation Services in 2021 for Woollahra Municipal Council.
