Each rock bears two plaques with a dedication to a different area of the 5/7 Royal Australian Regiment (RAR) Battalion: Left is to 5 RAR 'The Tigers' Middle is to the 5/7 battalion 'Mechanized' Right is to 7 RAR Notes: All those not listed as having been killed while on training are shown as 'Killed in Action' (KIA) on the memorial. The different codes listed below are based on information from the Australian War Memorials' Roll of Honour. The entry for B. P. Watson is given as B. F. Watson on the memorial. The spelling below is taken from information on the Australian War Memorial's Roll of Honour. The memorial is located inside the Holsworthy Military Base. Inscription Left plaques 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment 'The Tigers'. 1 March 1965. Raised at Holsworthy from 1RAR (pent) April 1966 to March 1967. Active Service - South Vietnam 29 October 1967. Received Queen's and Regimental Colour - Holsworthy January 1969 to March 1970. 3rd December 1973. Linked with 7RAR to form 5/7 RAR. [Names killed in action] Middle plaques 5th/7th Battalion, (Mechanized) The Royal Australian Regiment. 3rd December 1973 5 RAR and 7 RAR Linked to form 5/7 RAR 12 January 1976. 5/7 RAR began Mechanized Trails 6 June 1984. Full Mechanization of 5/7 RAR October 1998 to March 1999. 5/7 RAR (MECH) Relocated from Torruk Lines, Holsworthy to Binh Ba Lines, Robertson Barracks, Darwin.
