Description / Background

A large round fountain constructed of grey-granite, consisting of three tiers. The bottom tier is the water basin. The exterior wall has several plaques attached and is inscribed with country names. The middle tier is inscribed with the names of servicemen and women from the district who served in the First World War. The top tier is the decorative fountainhead.
