Description / Background

First World War column made of local sandstone surmounted by a sandstone canon. There are marble plaques on four sides of the column. Surrounding the memorial are multiple plaques for later conflicts. There is also a large stone with a Second World War commemorative plaque in proximity.

In honour of the men and omen who served Australia in time of conflict during World War II. Lest we forget. This memorial is a joint venture between the Hornsby Shire Council and the Australia Remembers Committee for the Electorate of Berowra. Lt. CMDR Mick Gallagher, Mayor.
