Description / Background

The timber honor roll has decorative timber work with painted features including the Union Jack, the Australian flag, two wreaths, two crossed swords and two crossed rifles. The roll was unveiled on 27 August 1918 by Lieut.-Colonel Abbott at the annual band ball at the Town Hall. The roll lists a number of soldiers as killed, however war service records do not support this.
