Description / Background

This honor roll is a classical designed memorial with a pediment at the top. It is constructed of marble mounted on timber, with names inscribed in black in two columns. It was unveiled at the Methodist Church at the corner of Church and Bourke Streets, Glen Innes on 25 April 1920 by Lieutenant Colonel P.P. Abbott.

Built in 1885, the Church was purchased by the Glen Innes Arat Council in 1983 and converted into a theatre. The roll was moved to the Land of the Beardies History House Museum and Research Centre.
