Glen Innes Anzac Park War Memorial Dais Middle Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This cement-rendered, brick dais is located in Glen Innes Anzac Park. It is built in a simple semi-circular shape, with three steps leading to the dias platform. Forming the back of the platform are two small columns, either side of a concrete wall. Two low, stepped concrete walls also extend out from either side of the structure. The columns and the side walls have four metal plaques attached, in memory of the Second World War, Borneo, Vietnam, Korea, and Malaysia. The memorial is partly surrounded by plantings and has a decomposed granite paved area at the front. The dais is the Glen Innes RSL sub-Branch's memorial to the ex-servicemen and women who served in the Second World War. It was unveiled on 25 April 1950. The other plaques for Korea, Malaysia, Borneo, and Vietnam were added later.
