  1. Listed Bungendore War Memorial Hall WW1 ROH (1917-Added name) and Bygone Queanbeyan.
  2. Not listed in  “MAPPING ANZACS” nor on the AWM databases as he is understood to have served in the British Army.
  3. Stephenson:Buried Currandooley Cemetery,Bungendore.Born 4.04.1866 .Died 7.03.1936.Son of Pat Hill and Elizabeth Jane (Jeannie) Atkinson (By Grandson 4.6.2014 :Daughter of Major General Atkinson and suggestion here  that there was a connection with the Commander of the BEF that may give some clue to his militart service with the Imperial Army.)
  4.  Sydney Morning Herald 9 March 1936 p13 published an obiturary in respect of Osborne Henry (Harry) (1866-1936) in which it was reported that , "He served in the Imperial Army in France".Obituraries Australia records the SMH article.

Obituraries Australia 18.12.15: Born: 4.4.1866.Paddington NSW.Died: 7.3.1936.Cause of Death : Pneumonia Father : Patrick Hill Osborne.(1832-1902 second son of Henry Osborne and Sarah Elizabeth nee Mardshall).                                                                                               
  6. Note: By Grandson 4.6.2014:Patrick John Brian Osborne (not to be confused with Patrick Hill Osborne ) was also in the British army at the end of the Great War, but may have not seen active service until after Armistice Day. He was in the 17th Lancers, then 20th Hussars, until the early 1920’s when he finally came home after 10yrs of school and army in England. Later joining the AIF saw active service in WWII.See WW2 ROH.
