The pillar is topped with a decorative capital. Honour rolls and dedication plates for the First and Second World Wars are attached to the sides of the monument. Additional honour rolls are also attached to small stone pillars either side of the memorial. A fence consisting of pillars joined by metal bars surrounds the memorial. The memorial is located next to the Kangaroo Valley Post Office.
