A memorial cross, standing 10 metres tall, located within a fenced garden on Menindee Street, close to the corner of Haberfield Street. The landscaped area also contains a brick wall displaying an honour roll, and a memorial plaque for Korea.
Around 2013, the 'Friends of the Cenotaph' group revised the original name plaques and replaced them with a single brass plaque. Some new names were added and some names from the original plaques were omitted. The names on the new plaques are those who the group determined were born, schooled and/or enlisted from Menindee. The original personnel omitted are noted with a '1' against their names and the new names have a '2' against theirs.
