Mittagong Memorial Hall First and Second World Wars Honour Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Polished wooden plaque with timber mouldings and names in gold lettering. Those who were killed are marked with a 'K '. The memorial is located in the foyer of the Mittagong Memorial Hall. The hall was constructed from materials relocated from a miners' hall at Joadja in 1911. The stone and other materials from the miners' hall were transported to Mittagong on what is believed to be the last job of a tramway that once ran between Joadja and Mittagong. The hall, more recently referred to as the Mittagong Playhouse, was built to replace the Canterbury Hall in Mittagong that was destroyed by fire in 1910. There is a collection of memorabilia and a research area inside the hall.
